If you are experiencing retinal problems that require surgical intervention as advised by your optician we may be able to help.
We are pleased to be able to offer patients both emergency & elective vitreoretinal surgery providing care in comfortable surroundings and a convenient location close to home.
Vitreoretinal surgery refers to any operation to treat eye problems involving the retina, macula, and vitreous fluid. These include retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes and complications related to diabetic retinopathy.
Mr Brent (pictured), Consultant Ophthalmologist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon, says “We are able to offer both emergency and elective vitreoretinal surgery here at Derby Private Health – not all units are able to provide emergency care so we are pleased to be able to offer this here removing the need for patients to travel long distances to other sites for their procedure.”
