Research
Mr Richardson has published pieces on ocular melanoma, retinal tears, pharmacological modification of PVR, genetic associations with diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Mr Richardson is presently PI for 4 portfolio studies and sub-PI for 2 and is looking at the effects of bariatric surgery, insulin pumps and non-medicinal compounds on diabetic retinopathy.

Mr Richardson qualified from Bart’s Hospital 1985, ophthalmology training in Liverpool and Sheffield including lecturer at Department of Ophthalmology, Sheffield University, Laser Research Fellow in Liverpool and Manchester and VR Fellowship in Birmingham.
