Mr Al Chalabi is a Consultant colorectal & laparoscopic and General Surgeon. He completed his surgical training in Dublin – Ireland, and gained advanced training and experience in all aspects of complex colorectal conditions in Guy’s & St Thomas Hospital – London before he took on his current consultant post at Royal Derby Hospital.

His main areas of interest are in benign small and large bowels (colon) diseases, colorectal cancer and all anorectal conditions. He does day case surgery as well as the complex abdominal surgeries. He also gained advanced training in hernia surgery and most of his procedures are carried out using the key-hole technique.
