Pre-admission assessments at Derby Private Health

Pre-admission assessment | Derby Private Health

A pre-admission assessment may be required if your treatment requires you to be admitted to hospital for surgery. This assessment is to ensure that you are medically fit for surgery. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have regarding your procedure.

You will be seen by one of our nursing team who will ask you about your medical history. Full details will be confirmed in our appointment letter to you.

It may be necessary to carry out some routine tests and investigations at this appointment, such as an ECG, blood tests, x-rays and blood pressure checks. If you require any further investigations prior to your operation, our team will liaise with your GP.

Following your pre-admission assessment, you will receive confirmation of your admission date.

If you would like to ask any further questions either before or after your pre-admission assessment, our team will be happy to help.
