Whether you are attending for a quick outpatient appointment or staying with us for a few days, we understand that coming to hospital can be a daunting experience. That’s why our staff will support you every step of the way to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
Arranging your consultation
You will need to arrange an appointment with your GP and ask to be referred to Derby Private Health.
Please bring your GP referral letter to your initial outpatient appointment. Alternatively your GP can send it to us by email or fax prior to your consultation.
Your GP may be recommend a consultant. You can view a list of our consultants for your specialty in our consultants directory.
Next you need to call us on 01332 785200 to gain a quote, make an initial outpatient appointment and arrange payment. When attending your appointment, please come to the Derby Private Health reception.

About your consultation
You will see your consultant in our private consulting room. If your consultant refers you for any tests or investigations, it may be possible to arrange these on the day of your appointment. If not, a further appointment will be made at a convenient time.
To ensure the safety of our patients some specialised tests or procedures are carried out in other high technology areas of the Royal Derby Hospital, outside of the Private Patients Suite.
Initial consultations range from £180-£250.
