Derby Private Health is the private patient unit based at the Royal Derby Hospital. We are not a subsidiary company as we are run in partnership with the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. We are able to offer our patients a ‘best of both worlds’ experience – the comfort of private care with the clinical back-up of one of the country’s newest and most advanced NHS hospitals.
Derby Private Health offers a warm, welcoming environment with a dynamic, hard-working team. We offer services across a number of different medical specialties, making it a diverse working environment.
VACANCY: Theatre Practitioners
We are looking for experienced Theatre Practitioners to work in our brand new, dedicated Private Patient Theatre which is scheduled to be operational in 2019.
The theatre will form an integral part of the Derby Private Health brand, and you will be working as part of the Trust-wide team.
You will have a responsibility to deliver care in this modern, exceptionally well-equipped theatre, delivering services across a wide range of specialties.
In this role, you will be predominantly based in the new, dedicated operating theatre for Derby Private Health, as well as having an opportunity to flex and work across 36 other theatres across the Royal Derby Hospital, giving you the opportunity to develop and maintain skills across a wide range of specialties.
You will be working with and learning from some renowned and highly respected Surgeons and Anaesthetists. Derby has a good reputation for being at the forefront of surgical technology: from the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery System to other cutting-edge technology.
Those expressing an interest in this role will have recognised qualifications and experience in the operating theatre environment.
We are also able to offer opportunities to newly qualified ODPs and registered nurses who are interested in a change to theatres or looking for a new career direction.
You will be expected to work within a multi-professional team, liaising with and providing high quality care for patients. You will need to possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to promote a learning environment and be flexible to change.
