• Lower Limb Gait Analysis
• Prescription of Functional Foot Orthoses (Insoles) for biomechanical related conditions
• Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for the treatment of foot drop.

Profile: 

Dr Attfield is a specialist in Lower Limb Biomechanics and orthotics and has been a practising Clinical Scientist for the last 25 Years. He is also a visiting reader of Biomechanics at the University of Derby.

Special interests relate to diagnosis of complex gait patterns and the development of MDT treatment plans. He has an expert knowledge of complex insole design, prescription and manufacture.

Dr Attfield has lectured in Biomechanics at Kuala Lumpur University Malaysia, and has assisted in the development of many gait labs both nationally and internationally.

Research:

• PhD Thesis. Measurement of soft tissue imbalance during Total Knee Replacement Surgery at the University of Nottingham in 2010.
