Profile:

Richard Stanford is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital, appointed in 2014.  His two main areas of expertise within urology are urinary stone disease and prostate cancer diagnostics.

He also covers most aspects of general urology, including management of male urinary tract symptoms.

Research:

Richard Stanford has completed a BSc research thesis on Cross-talk in intracellular signalling pathways and also a PhD thesis on the regulation of gene control mechanisms in bladder cancer.  He also has a research interest in the association of deprivation to Urological diseases.
