Mr Geutjens has extensive experience in all aspects of knee surgery, particularly in sports related knee and ankle injuries, knee replacements and osteotomies around the knee.

He is Consulting Surgeon to Derby County Football Club, Derby Rugby Club, Burton Albion Football Club and Derby Trailblazers Basket Ball Club.


Mr Geutjens has published research in leading knee surgery and sports medicine journals as well as The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Most of his research is related to arthroscopy of the knee, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and knee replacement, as well as soft tissue repair of difficult muscle injuries.

Mr Geutjens lectures on national courses dedicated to complex knee ligament reconstruction, teaching other knee surgeons, and has been an invited lecturer internationally.

Cartilage resurfacing procedures, meniscal cartilage repair and arthritis in the younger patient.
